Duca di Salaparuta Calanica Frappato 2020 is a Sicilian red wine made entirely from Frappato and bottled at 12.5% ABV. The authenticated Southern Glazer’s item binds the supplied UPC to the 2020 vintage in a 750 mL glass bottle. The importer’s technical sheet identifies Sicily and DOC Sicilia, and describes Calanica as an expression of an indigenous grape cultivated by a historic Sicilian house founded in 1824.
The wine is ruby red with purple highlights, with rose and violet aromas leading into a velvety palate, gentle tannins, and persistent fragrance. Those floral notes and supple structure reflect Frappato’s naturally bright, aromatic style without requiring heavy extraction or oak claims. The exact supplier image shows the complete dark-glass bottle, white capsule, and Calanica Frappato Sicilia DOC label on a clean white field. Serve slightly cool alongside grilled fish, pork, tomato-based dishes, or other foods that suit an aromatic, lightly structured Sicilian red.
