Laguna Madre is a limited release from Garrison Brothers, built on eight years of barrel time. The whiskey spends its first four years in American oak, then moves into rare French Limousin oak for four more, a two-stage maturation that shapes its depth and layered character. Bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle.
The dual-cask aging shows up in a creamy, decadent palate: vanilla bean, hazelnut, saltwater taffy and milk chocolate, with woody vanilla, sweet cacao and rich oak running underneath and a hint of root beer on the finish. A Texas bourbon aimed at drinkers who follow long-aged, cask-finished releases.
